Boom Times for Southern Gold Coast?

Reedy Creek & Varsity Lakes, suburbs of the Gold Coast located near Burleigh and close to the M1 Hihgway, could be in for good times ahead.

Recent news from The Queensland Government has announced the plans for an urban village development located near the proposed railway station which makes part of the the State Government's $123 million plan to extend the Gold Coast rail line from Robina to Reedy Creek and duplicate the existing rail line from Helensvale to Robina.

$12 Million has been spent in purchasing 8.3ha of land from Delfin Lend Lease for the development.

The benefits for the area could be a vast improvement in transit services in the area and Brisbane commuters would no longer have to travel to Robina station as part of their journey with easy access to a local station also including bus and taxi services.
